When we move together, we multiply our impact!

LEARN MORE ABOUT REACH & RESTORE

Fearless Followers,

We have been so encouraged over the last few weeks to hear the stories from so many Fearless Followers who are responding to God’s call to take their next MOVE, use their gifts, act on their passions, and expand God’s Kingdom.

We are seeing firsthand how, when God’s people move together, our efforts are multiplied and God’s Kingdom grows!

This is nothing new for our churches.  During last year’s Reach & Restore Campaign, we moved together to launch Cultivate and Third Coast.  Today, those churches are impacting the Hamilton and Saugatuck communities and lives are being transformed.

We’ve also watched as Fearless Followers came together to help build a home on Hope Street for the Perkins family.  We’ve seen the dividends of investing in reading programs for the students at Adams Elementary School in Zeeland and East K-8 in Holland. And we’ve helped renovate an orphanage at Jubilee Centre in Zambia.

When we move together, our impact  in multiplied!

In the month of October, we will launch into the 2017 Reach & Restore Campaign.  This year, our goal is to strengthen partnerships in our Cities, Region, and World by raising $125,000.

In Our Cities:

We will continue to address the affordable housing crisis for many families in the ity of Holland. The Holland Rescue Mission is a local organization that is building bridges out of poverty. As a part of the Reach & Restore campaign, we are committing to work alongside this ministry, and other existing partnerships, as we serve the underserved in the community and welcome them MOVE into a faith community.

Members of Cultivate will join other members of the Hamilton community to launch a faith-based afterschool ministry.  The Reach & Restore Campaign will help remodel The Gate’s new facility on M-40, to create a space for the kids and to include a shared ministry space for the staff of Cultivate.

In Saugatuck, we will partner with Pine Trail Camp to renovate their existing chapel facilities. This will allow Third Coast to have a new place for weekly worship as well as multiply the camp’s impact of bringing young people into a personal relationship with Jesus.

In Our Region:

Love Inc. and People Helping People have been impacting lives in the Pullman community for years.  Among other things, they provide life-skills courses along with food and utility assistance in the community. Through the Reach& Restore Campaign, our Pullman Ministry Team will continue to partner with these groups, helping them to improve services and programs, improve a food pantry for the community, and we’ll help finish off the construction of the Linking Center, a community center in the heart of Pullman.

We’ve all seen the video and images of the destruction left behind by recent Hurricanes. Many of you have been moved to give to the recovery efforts; some have even expressed interest in going to the areas impacted to help with the clean-up.  This coming summer, Family Ministries will lead a group of volunteers from our churches to work alongside Ecclesia Church in Houston  to provide humanitarian relief to the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Funds from Reach & Restore will pay for the supplies and tools needed to do this work.

In Our World:

We are excited to start a new partnership with Hope of the Nations in Tanzania! This is an organization that shares our commitment to make disciples, develop leaders, and to plant churches. The Reach and Restore Campaign will offer 50 scholarships to pastors and church planters in-training and will help fund the construction of a dormitory for these students. In the future, we will also offer opportunities for Fearless Followers from Michigan to visit Tanzania to experience this partnership first-hand.

In Honduras, our partner, Advance Missionero in LaCanada, Honduras is having a huge impact on their community and they have the opportunity to multiply their efforts by purchasing adjacent property for the construction of training facilities.  We will use funds from the campaign to match funds raised in the community will to purchase they and increase the church’s ability to reach their community with the love of Jesus.

Here is how you can get involved with this year’s campaign.

Pray! Commit to praying each day for the people whose lives will be changes through the efforts of this campaign.  Follow your church on social media during the month of October for daily prayer prompts.

Move!  Where is God calling you to move? How is God asking you to use your gifts and passions to expand His Kingdom? This month, watch for opportunities to serve in our cities, region and world.

Give! This year’s goal is to raise $125,000.  With all three Fearless Network churches working together, we are excited to see how God will provide for the plans He has put on our hearts.

The Reach & Restore Campaign is an opportunity for us all to move together and have an impact that none of us could have on our own.  Whether your contribution is large or small, it all makes a difference.

Peace,

Kevin Pike, Senior Pastor – Ridge Point Community Church/Fearless Network of Churches

Cory Potter, Lead Pastor – Cultivate Community Church

Aaron Brown, Lead Pastor – Third Coast Community Church
