The Quad Squad Update

Our 2nd year Residents are quickly making a huge impact on our church, making themselves invaluable to the organization!

MEET THE RESIDENTS  |  SUPPORT A RESIDENT

Justin Beidler has been working over the past few months at Cultivate, assembling and cultivating (pun intended) a team of volunteers to lead worship with him. He has enjoyed getting to plan and perform a specific worship set lists each week that reflect and connect to the sermon topic/series and also helps invite people into a state of worship. Justin is seeing great progress and is impressed with how people have recently been coming out of their shells more and more to engage in worship. He is always looking for talented and dedicated musicians to lend their skills to the Cultivate worship band, so if you’re interested or know someone who is, contact him. He also recently celebrated the 1st Birthday of his son Jackson and is thankful for the Lord’s blessing on his family.

Chris Reuschel has been splitting his time between Ridge Point and Cultivate, helping each campus run effective youth ministries. With the recent hiring of Derek Laird as the Middle School pastor, Chris has stepped away from our Middle School “Tribe” which he has been an integral part of for nearly 2 years. This has allowed him to shift his focus to Ridge Point’s High School Ministry, the “Magis,” while we actively search for a High School Youth Pastor. When not at Ridge Point, Chris is growing a brand new youth ministry for Cultivate. He has been busy recruiting and training youth leaders and cultivating a core group of students in preparation for the official launch of the youth program this fall. If you would like to help out the Cultivate Youth contact him. In his spare time, Chris enjoys being outdoors with his wife and his yellow lab Sadie.

Stephen Irish continues to help lead worship, playing guitar or signing on a weekly basis at all of our campuses. You’ve probably seen him on stage and not even realized! He has also expanded his reach, using his musical talents to craft meaningful and relevant worship experiences for our High School and Middle School youth groups, something that was lacking before he stepped in. He has worked tirelessly to recruit and train students who are interested and willing to use what musical talent they have. He has been blown away by the response of the students, they have engaged in worship in ways he never expected! Those of you who have teenagers know how difficult it can be at times to give them instructions, but Stephen has been a great help. If you would like to help lead worship with our students, or know of a student who is willing to lend their talents, you can contact him.

Matt Furrow has been working on a variety of projects. He has helped create and edit the new Bible Reading Journals, making sure they cover a wide range of helpful topics for the faith family. With the launch of our new interactive database, “The Link,” Matt has been creating new forms and processes for several departments, as well as helping train leaders from Cultivate and Third Coast on how to use the system to meet their needs. He is also creating and launching a brand new Guest Follow-Up program, working with Ridge Point staff and Guest Services Volunteers to welcome new folks, and follow-up with them in meaningful ways to encourage their return and involvement at Ridge Point. He is working with key leaders from Cultivate and Third Coast to help them think through and launch similar plans for their churches. If you have ideas for guest follow-up or would like to help welcome guests on the weekend, you can contact him. In between all this he is also actively planning a June wedding with his fiancé who is a 7th grade English Teacher.

Our second year residents end their time at Ridge Point this June and are eagerly waiting to see where God will lead them next. If you would like to learn more about the Residency program, or to donate financially to their needs (a certain portion of their income is fund-raised each month) go to www.fearlessresidency.com. Please continue to keep them in their prayers as they use their gifts and talents to help grow and serve the ministries at Ridge Point.
