Birth to 4th Grade

Children – Nursery (birth-3 yrs) Goal: Every child will know God loves them for who he created them to be

  •  Engage  –  How does God talk to us? Through the Bible.
    • Curriculum for “The Story for Little Ones” (this is the bible story book received at Child Dedication)
  • Engage – How do we talk to God?  Through prayer
    • Nursery Care Volunteers pray over our infants
    • Nursery Care Volunteers pray with our 2&3 years olds
  • Know  – Learn to know God through songs
      • Jesus Loves me; Deep and Wide; Thank you, Lord; Jesus Loves the Little Ones; The B-I-B-L-E
      • Learn to know God through scripture
        • Matthew 5:14 – You are the light of the world,
        • Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path
        • 1 John 3:23 – Be kind to one another
        • John 13:35 – Love one another
  • Show 
    • Interactive questions and answers after each lesson
    • Children are encouraged to show what they learn
  • Serve  – Children learn to serve in community
  • Children learn to play, listen and craft as friends in community
  • Children are encouraged pick up the room as a service to the next group
  • Small opportunities for children to give to mission i.e. change for ALL IN, toy give a way to Mosaic

Children – Early Childhood (Preschool-4th Grade) Goals: Every child will know God loves them for who he created them to be. Every child will know and be able to tell the gospel story through word and picture. Every child will serve in their community

Engage (Respond) How does God talk to us? The Bible. How do we talk to God? Prayer

      • GROW curriculum helps teach the stories from the Bible
      • Learn how to use and read the Bible (Books of the Bible, Ten Commandments)
      • Learn and practice prayer with each other in the classroom

Know

      • The Gospel Story with scripture
      • God created the world (Genesis1:1)
      • We have all sinned (Romans 3:23)
      • God loves us, forgives us and Jesus died for us (John 3:16)
      • We are called to Serve wholeheartedly… (Ephesians 6:7)The gift of God is eternal Life in Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
  • Learn the the Gospel story with symbols. Symbol Concept: Steven Argue and Josh Zoerhof, Artists: Justin Heap, Jason Ruggles and Josh Zoerhof

Show 

    • Their faith story starts to become their own.
      • Sharing their faith story in class
      • Sharing Jesus’s love through words and actions where you live, work and play

Serve 

  • Serve in community with family, peers and greater faith family
      • Participate in singing with their family in worship
      • Fully engage in the classroom lesson and activity
      • Participate in full worship (Christmas, Easter, and special services)
    • Serve in the community and the world
      • Thanksgiving food drive, Mosaic clothing drive and Kids Food basket
      • lead in singing, prayer and scripture in the Worship services
      • International letter writing that includes encouragement and prayer

Milestones:

  • Child dedication (Bible Story Book)
  • Graduation from Pre-School into Elementary Ridge Kids Classes (Student is given a Life verse)
  • 4th Grade Graduation to Middle School
