Fearless Family of Churches and Movement West Michigan are teaming up with 30 local churches to show our appreciation for school workers in the Holland, Zeeland, Hamilton, and Saugatuck areas. This initiative is a testament to the power of community and the difference we make when we come together.
School workers have faced significant challenges in recent years, with burnout rates at an all-time high and almost half of all educators considering leaving the profession. In just our area, it takes over 3,500 employees, including teachers, paraprofessionals, custodial and maintenance staff, bus drivers, food services, and more, to keep our schools running every day.
That’s why Fearless Family of Churches and Movement West Michigan, along with Gentex, Biggby Coffee, Tommy’s Carwash, Quality Carwash, and anonymous donors, have joined forces to send care packages to our school workers. The care packages represent over $150,000 in donations and will include funds for meals, Meijer gift cards, free car washes, and free coffee and beverages for all employees. The boxes will be delivered to schools starting on April 13th.
A little encouragement and support can go a long way, especially during difficult times. These care packages offer a tangible way to express gratitude and remind school workers they are appreciated and valued. They also serve as a reminder of the love and care that Jesus and His Church have for them.
Children from each of our Fearless churches have decorated boxes, staff wrote notes of encouragement, and many others from our Fearless Family have given their time to make this possible. We hope these care packages will bring much-needed encouragement and blessings to our educators and staff as they wrap up the school year.
