This Weekend’s Teaching: Looking for the Light

This weekend we continue “Looking for the Light” and what it means to see Jesus as our highest priority.

Phil 3:7-8 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord…

New Summer Service Times!
Beginning Memorial Day Weekend, our summer service times will be Saturdays at 6p and Sunday at 10a! As usual our services can also be watched on demand at https://vimeo.com/fearlessfollower!

Celebrating Our Fearless Graduates!
Join us this weekend as we honor a truly incredible group of people.  Our graduates have been walking a difficult road these last 2 months as the end of their senior year have been taken from them.  We intend to honor and celebrate their accomplishment!  We celebrate this milestone because it is important to look back at what God has done in their life, acknowledge how they have grown, and celebrate the new season of life that our students move into.  The Gospel will continue to spread because of these students that we are sending out.  Come and help us commission them into their new mission field!

Ridge Kids Graduates!!
This week we celebrated our 4th graders move out of Ridge Kids and into worshiping with their families for the entire service. As a Fearless Family we pause at important moments to acknowledge God’s presence and faithfulness. These milestone moments give our children the courage to take the “next” step on their faith formation journey of becoming all that God has created them to be. We lifted up Psalm 119:105 as a verse to take with them into Tribe and their everyday life, and we ended with their parents praying a prayer of blessing over their children. Together we created a moment that when our children grow up and go out on their own will make them smile when they “remember when!”

Ridge Kids Lesson!
The Ridge Kids lesson this week is the story of how an angel set Paul free from jail as his friends were praying for Paul! The big idea is that Jesus gives us freedom. Keep working on the memory verse from Philippians 4:7. Here is a link to a fun song to sing and dance together called Every Move I Make: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPvnZILn6EY

Making Waves Update
ALLIN.FearlessFollower.org
ALL IN – Expansion: Our mission to Follow Jesus and Fearlessly Make Him Known continues to be the most important thing that we are doing at each of our Fearless Churches.  We so miss seeing each of you but even during this season we are working hard to help adults, students and children grow in Jesus.  Also, each day we are setting priorities to best help equip you to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in their sphere.

ALL IN – Vibrancy:
COVID-19 has made things more complicated for projects to move forward, however, things are progressing.  Cultivate’s 18,000 sqft building project is in the final process of securing bids for the construction of the facility.  Third Coast’s next step to township approvals before the team takes a final look before moving forward.  If you ride by Ridge Point, you may see some equipment pushing dirt around! Because we are preparing for a pre-school in the Fall and our contractor has ability, we are able to take some first steps in our outdoor project.  Please note that all projects are being reviewed in late May before final approval for moving forward due to COVID-19.

ALL IN – Expansion:
Actively growing God’s Kingdom through investing in young leaders and church planting continues to be a high priority.  Both Dan Koller and Shane Cox are researching locations to plant a church in West Michigan.  We are getting close to being ready to reveal the first one in the coming weeks.

ALL IN – Giving:
Your Generosity is Amazing!
A huge thank you for giving out of a joyful heart.  In April, we received a total of $296,110 which is almost exactly on target with budgeted income.  Since ALL IN began in December of 2019, our Fearless Family has raised $2,703,397 towards our goals of $15 million by December 2021.  We are ahead of projections by about $400,000 to-date.  Though we are unsure of the long-term effects of COVID-19, we are so thankful for God’s provision to our ministries.  To learn more about ALL IN please visit – www.AllIn.FearlessFollower.org

Do you have questions about ALL IN?  Please send an email to ScottP@FearlessFollower.org.  Also, visit FearlessFollower.org/Giving for special COVID-19 related tax benefits for giving in 2020.
