Question 1 – When was the last time you talked about Jesus or participated in showing the love of Jesus to others outside of your family? Share with the group

Question 2 – A.W Tozer observed that we face the twin challenges of materialism and individualism i.e. we like our stuff and we like to go it alone. On a scale of 1-10 (where 1 is not so much and 10 is very much), how would you rank yourself in these two areas? Explain?

Question 3 – “We can learn about Jesus as individuals. But we cannot extend the mission and advance the kingdom without community.” How has this statement been true in your life?

Question 4 – Read Acts 2:42-47. We see from this passage that the early church members were committed to each other, took personal responsibility for each other and prioritized getting together in community. Which of these three would you say you excel in? Which one do you struggle with?

Question 5 The mission and the movement require the community. But life in community is not easy. What losses have you suffered by not being in community with others? What have you gained by being in community?

Question 6 – We see in this passage a twofold dynamic that occurs in the church: people group together and commit to each other and God works in and through them to bring many more to Christ. Can you tell a story of when this has particularly been true for you?

Question 7 – Discuss the next steps you need to take to “Make Waves” in the area of deeper and more authentic community.
