As a leadership team, we are so thankful that our church doesn’t shy away from the important cultural conversations in our community. Thanks for leaning in and having the courage to engage along with us. It was such a privilege to be with all of you this weekend as we engaged in the Scriptures and explored the conversation on the church’s call to journey with and love the men, women and children of the LGBTQ+ community. As we mentioned, in many ways, our 40min conversation was barely scratching the surface on how we can better love and show compassion to the LGBTQ+ community. Aside from one on one conversations and follow-up (which are always welcome), we’d like to provide you with some additional resources as you continue to engage in this conversation.

Preston Sprinkle, PhD. is a teacher, author and expert on faith, sexuality and the LGBTQ+ conversation. His blogs and books are very helpful. He is holding a conference on faith, sexuality and gender on May 13 at Ada Bible Church. You can get more information to the conference and his blogs and books here.
Laurie Krieg, is the founder of Hole In My Heart Ministries and is a locally based (Grand Rapids, MI) regional expert on how the church can engage in a gospel-centered approach to sexuality. You can get links to local speaking engagements, books and blogs here.
Tim Gombis, PhD. is a professor at Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. He was my professor for New Testament and is a brilliant writer and scholar. His four part conversation on Romans and Human Sexuality is very easy to read and understand.
