Student Serving Students: Kid’s Food Basket Packing Party

Seek Justice, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly…

Micah 6:8 is a familiar verse for our Student Ministry family.  “…And what does the Lord require of you?  To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”  This is what we do.  But why?  In verses 6:1-7, God is reminding Israel of how he saved them from circumstances in Egypt that they would have never escaped from on their own.  All God asked of them was to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him.  Jesus Christ has saved us from our sin and we get to serve others like Christ sacrificially served us.

Students and families have an opportunity this Wednesday to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God.  We will be packing 8,000 lunches for students to take home with them on the weekend so they have food to eat.  It’s hard to believe in Holland and Zeeland that we have so many kids that go home hungry on the weekend, but we do.  As fearless followers of Jesus, our students are not the church of the future…they are the church of today!  Serving allows our students to participate with how God is answering prayers in west Michigan by serving others like Jesus served.

Register by clicking the link below and we’ll see you at 6:30pm on Wednesday Sept. 11 in the Center!
