Deeper Dive:

Reflect on and answer the following questions…

Intro- The Bible is an incredible invitation from God to His people. It is an unfolding story and personal word from God about how we are to live. Knowing clearly what the Bible says is the first step to understanding the great adventure that God invites us into.

Question 1 – What does it mean to you that the Bible is a Great Adventure story and how does that change the way you read the Bible?

Question 2 – Have you ever experienced the Bible coming alive for you? Share with the group.

Question 3 – In 1 Timothy 1:3-7, Paul warns against false doctrines and false teachings. Is there anything you always thought was true until you found out it wasn’t? Share with the group.

Question 4 – People tend to read Scripture through the lens of their culture instead of looking at culture through the lens of Scripture. How true is this to you? Give an example.

Question 5 – A Biblical worldview starts with what the Bible says and asks how that changes the way we see ourselves, others, and the world. What do you need to do to make this your default worldview?

Question 6 – The first step in studying the Bible is reading what it says. We begin with prayer, focus on a small passage, read in context, and read different translations. Can you try practicing this as a group? What did you learn?

Prayer – Lord, cause your Word to come alive to us so that we may come alive through your Word. Amen.
