Have you felt God’s nudge to travel with a short-term trip team?
For a good number of years, I felt God’s nudge to travel to Africa. My husband and sponsored a child through Jubilee Centre around 2008 or so. In the fall of 2012, Ridge Point offered a trip to Zambia with a partial focus on grief support. I had worked for Hospice of Holland for a good while and had learned, step by step, some of the ways to walk alongside others through this struggle. I thought to myself, “This is it! I have something to give.” My husband and I signed up. My life was changed. I was drawn to the work that Jubilee does. The Executive Director had vision and the ability to put into action so many ways to “help without hurting”.
My word for the year is “Stand”. 1 Corinthians 16: 13-14 says “Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong, Do everything in love.”
Join us in the words of 1 Corinthians 16 as we travel to Zambia this coming May 20 – June 3, 2020
