For Every Child – Next Steps

This past weekend was For Every Child at all three of our Fearless Churches. During the services, we gave you an opportunity to sponsor a child who lives in extreme poverty (less than $2 per day) in Zambia or Honduras.

I am just busting with gratitude and pride at your response. Between all three churches we sponsored over 250 children! For every child sponsored, this will mean holistic life-changing support in four foundational areas:

• Physical – nourishing food and medical treatment
• Mental – education and job training to prepare for the future
• Social – family support
• Spiritual – all help is funneled in a Christ-centered way through their local church as these children are lifted-up, they in turn, will lift-up their families and other people in their communities.

Your tangible love for these 250 children, and the 100 children that we already supported before this past weekend, have demonstrated that we take seriously Jesus model of compassion and his call for those of us to follow him to show the same compassion (Colossians 3:12). Well done Fearless Followers!

The words the Apostle Paul commended the Corinthian church with for their generosity to those in need, also apply to our Fearless Family this week,

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.                                      -2 Corinthians 9:12-13
